TO MASTER VETERAN GRAVE INDEXJames M. Barnes enlisted at the "Tanner Place" n Captain William S. Spears's Company of "Home Guards" on 14 Nov 1864. In his pension record he claims he was at the Battle of Marianna. He reports he was on guard duty at Bayou George, West Bay, and other sites in Bay, Washington, and Jackson Counties. His birth date is listed as 9 Dec 1849. [FLORIDA CONFEDERATE PENSION A08904]
Iva H. Brookins enlisted in Company I, 46th Alabama Infantry Regiment on 10 May 1862. he was wounded and captured at Vicksburg, Mississippi. on 4 Jul 1863. Iva was exchanged and was later captured near Nashville, Tennessee, on 16 Dec 1864. He spent the rest of the war at Camp Douglas, Illinois and Camp Chase, Ohio. He was released at Camp Chase on 17 Jun 1865. He is listed on the rolls as being over six feet tall. [MILITARY RECORD CARDS - FOOTNOTE.COM]

William O'Conner enlisted 6 May 1862 in Captain Henry
O. Bassett's Company (Company E, 6th Florida). He was listed as being in
different army hospitals for most of 1864.

Seventeen year old Sanson M. Cooper enlisted 13 Jan 1864 at Lumpkin, Georgia, and was discharged at Salisbury, North Carolina, in May 1865. [FLORIDA CONFEDERATE PENSION A04856]

Henry G. Land enlisted in Captain Richard L. Smith's Marianna Dragoons on 14 Mar 1862. This company became Company B, 15th Confederate Cavalry in 24 Sep 1863. This regiment was also known as the 1st Regiment, Alabama and Florida Cavalry. He surrendered at Quincy, Florida on 11 May 1865. [FOOTNOTE.COM]
Stephen W. Land was given a disability discharged from Company A, 5th Battalion Florida Cavalry in 1863. On 7 Apr 1864 he enlisted in Company A, 15th Confederate Cavalry. This regiment was also known as the 1st Regiment, Alabama and Florida Cavalry. He was detailed as a fairer. He surrendered at Quincy, Florida on 11 May 1865. [FOOTNOTE.COM]

James W. Rawls enlisted in Company H, 1st Florida Cavalry on 29 Nov 1861. He was promoted to sergeant on 20 Jul 1862, and was captured at Ocean Pond, Florida, on 20 Feb 1864. James spent the rest of the war as a POW. [FLORIDA CONFEDERATE PENSION A01934]

Sidney T. Shirley enlisted in the 3rd Battalion, Hilliard's Legion, Alabama Volunteers, early in the war. He was captured at Hatcher's Run, Virginia on 31 Mar 1865, and was released from Point Lookout, Maryland, on 17 Jun 1865. He is listed as being 5' 8¼" tall, with a light complexion, dark brown hair, and hazel eyes. [ANCESTRY.COM]

Allen Franklin Thomas enlisted in Company E, 63rd Alabama
Infantry on 13 Mar 1864. He was wounded in the knee at Mobile, Alabama, in
April 1865 and was in a hospital at the close of the war.

James Wester enlisted in Company F, 6th Florida Infantry, at the Chattahoochee Arsenal, on 3 May 1861. He was surrendered at Quincy, Florida, on 23 May 1865. [FOOTNOTE.COM - FLORIDA CONFEDERAR PENSION A12168]
