Charles E. Bazzell, son of Isham H. Bazzell and Susan Trussell, was born 17 Aug 1841, in Jackson, County, Florida, and died 15 Feb 1933. He enlisted in the Confederate States Navy at Johnson's Navy Yard, Early County, Georgia. He served on the CSS Chattahoochee. He was transferred to the CSS Georgia, stationed at Savannah, Georgia, 4 Jul 1864. Charles was sent home sick late in the war and was home when the war ended. He was rewarded a pension. Corporal Robert Andrew Kidd

Robert Andrew Kidd, son of Robert Kidd and Editha Curtis, was born in South Carolina on 24 Mar 1832. Robert married Susan C. Bazzell, in Jackson County, Florida, 18 Apr 1855. Robert enlisted as a private on 13 May 1862, at Marianna, Florida. He was promoted to  5th Sergeant of Company E, 8th Florida Infantry Regiment. Robert was later reduced in rank to Private, and then promoted to 3rd Corporal. He was captured at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, 2 July 1863, and was released from Union Prison at Fort Delaware, on 10 June 1865.  His height is listed as 6' in height, his eyes blue, hair gray, and complexion is dark.  [NARA M 251 REEL 83 - EGS DATABASE - ANCESTRY.COM]
