John Coonrod - Lorenzo D. Coonrod - William J. Hasty

John Coonrad, son of William Coonrad and Hester, was born in Chesterfield County, South Carolina on 30 Mar 1825, and he died in Jackson County, Florida, on 21 Feb 1912. John enlisted in Walter Robinson's Company on 15 Jan 1863. This Company was Company A, 11th Florida Regiment. On his last roll, he is listed as in hospital sick. His pension record states he was home on sick leave at the end of the war. John was surrendered on 11 May 1865, and was paroled on 23 May 1865, at Quincy, Florida. Lorenzo Davis Coonrod, son of William Coonrad and Hester, was born in Chesterfield County, South Carolina on 20 Jun 1832, And died in Jackson County, Florida, on 13 Feb 1910. Lorenzo Davis Coonrod enlisted as a landsman in the Confederate Navy. Lorenzo served on the CSS Chattahoochee from 28 Oct 1862 to 1 Nov 1863, He was transferred to the CSS Savannah on 1 Nov 1863. He was paroled at Augusta, Georgia, in Jun 1865. [FLORIDA CONFEDERATE PENSION A 11030]

William
Jefferson Hasty, son of Absalom Hasty and Martha Ann Hammock, was born in
Carrol County, Georgia, on 2 Oct 1842, and he died in Jackson County,
Florida, on 28 Mar 1910. William enlisted in Captain Wilson's Company,
Colonel Woods Regiment of Alabama Volunteers on 10 May 1862. This company
became Company I, 46th Alabama Regiment, He was captured 4 Jul 1863 at
Vicksburg, Mississippi, and exchanged. He was captured at Nashville,
Tennessee, on 16 Dec 1864. On 22 April 1865, he enlisted in the Federal
