Coulliette Family Cemetery II
GPS: N 30° 48.966' W 085° 05.807' Directions to Coulliette Family Cemetery II: From US Route 90 in Grand Ridge, go North on State Route 69 six and two tenths miles to Butler Road. Go West (Left) on Butler Road two and six tenths miles to Blue Springs Road. Turn left then a quick right onto Flat Road. Go eight tenths of a mile to Buffalo Road, turn left and go one and one tenth of a mile. Cemetery is in a stand of trees in an open hay field on the right side of the road. Tombstones are visible from the road. This is private land and one should notify the owner, Mr. Gilley, who lives in the last house before turning onto Buffalo Road to gain permission to visit the cemetery.

James Earl Comerford, son of John Phillip Comerford and Annis Sims, was born in 22 June 1838, in Jackson County, Florida. James enlisted in Company E (Captain Bassett's Company), 6th Florida Infantry at MT. Vernon Arsenal, on 14 Apr 1862. He was promoted to Corporal on 1 May 1862, and reduced to Private on 1 Jul 1862. He was captured on 22 Jul 1864, near Atlanta, Georgia. James was sent to Camp Chase, Ohio, and was transferred to City Point, Virginia, on 4 Mar 1865, for exchange. James was surrendered at Quincy, Florida, on 11 May 1865. He married Mary Coulliette on 9 May 1875, in Jackson County, Florida. He died in 1906 .[NARA PUB M251 REEL 70 - EDENFIELD DATABASE]

John T. Coulliette enlisted in Company G, 4th Battalion Florida Infantry on 1 Mar 1863. This company became Company H, 11th Florida Infantry. He was detailed as a nurse at the Confederate Hospital at Marianna, Florida, 4 Mar 1864, by order of Colonel Montgomery. The Company Roll has him listed as on detail at Marianna Hospital in Oct 1864. He is also listed as detailed to Marianna Confederate Hospital in Dec 1864. Some records have John T. listed as John C or John L Coulliette. He was born 24 Sep 1825 in South Carolina.
