Dr. Nicholas A. Long
Norwood's "Cradle to Grave" Militia
Dr. Nicholas A. Long was a 2nd Lieutenant in the local Jackson County
Militia during the second Seminole War. Dr. Long was a member of Captain
Norwood's Militia and was captured during the Battle of Marianna. He was
released from prison on 14 Dec 1864. [THE BATTLE OF
