Private Henry C. Neel
![]() Henry Clay Neel, son of William Mitchell Cox Neel and Mary P. Willis, was born 13 Oct 1846 in Jackson County, Florida, and died 5 Mar 1917, in Jackson County, Florida. He enlisted in Company C, 1st Florida Reserves on 12 May 1864, at Marianna, Florida. He was discharged on 14 May 1865 at Madison, Florida. 2nd SERGEANT EDWARD D. MINCHIN
Has Edward D. Minchin, son of Edward Minchin and Jane Miller was born about 1839. He enlisted as a 4th Corporal in Company I, 4th Florida Infantry on 25 Sep 1861, at Fort Mallory, St Vincent Island, Florida. He was appointed 4th Sergeant in May or June 1862, and to 2nd Sergeant on 14 Apr 1863. The December 1863 Company Muster have him paying $2.57 for the loss of his bayonet.
