Joseph Tyler Allen was born 18 Oct 1827, in Georgia, and died 18 Aug 1903, in Jackson County, Florida.  Joseph moved to Jackson County, Florida in the year 1857. He enlisted on 4 May 1861 (CSR indicate 10 May 1861) in Captain McClellan's Company, Jackson County, Florida.  This company becoming Company F, 2nd Florida Infantry. He was wounded at either Cedar Mountain or 2nd Manassas, Virginia, in August 1862, resulting of amputation of the right leg four inches above the knee. Jesse Brogden was born Abt. 1828, in Bertie County, North Carolina,  and died 4 May 1900. His place of burial is New Hope Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, Two Egg, Jackson County, Florida.  He enlisted in Company E, 8th Florida Regiment 13 May 1862. On 2 Mar 1865 his name appears on the Provost Marshall Washington D.C. List (Confederate deserters), as being sent by the Army of Potomac to Washington. William Riley Green Glisson, son of Riley Glisson, was born in about 1844 in Georgia or South Carolina. He died on 15 Aug 1887, and is buried at New Hope Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, Two Egg, Jackson County, Florida. He enlisted on 7 Nov 1861 in Captain Hopkin's Mounted Company, which was attached to the 4th Infantry Regiment. in Early 1862 he re-enlisted in Captain Stevenson's Company of Independent Cavalry. This Company became Company B, 2nd Florida Cavalry. The Compiled Service Records for William Riley Glisson are damaged, but it appears he was captured.  [NARA PUB M251 REEL 8 Do - G; - EGS DATABASE]

Thomas John Mitchell was born in Wilkerson County, Georgia Abt. 1836*, and he died about 28 May 1917.Thomas enlisted at Chattahoochee, Florida,  in Company F, 4th Florida Regiment in 4 May 1862. On 20 Sep 1862 he was  detailed as "Teamster". This company became Company E, 1st Florida Regiment. He was paroled at Greensboro, North Carolina, on 1 May 1865. Alfred Nicholas, son of Elisha Nicholas was born in Pitts County, North Carolina on 14 Mar 1822, and died in Dec 1904. He enlisted in Captain W. W. Poe's Company which became Company C, 1st Florida Reserves on 2 Mar 1864. He was surrendered on 11 may 1865 at Quincy, Gadsden County, Florida. Company D, 6th Florida Infantry Regiment

Samuel Francis M. Scott, son of James Franklin Scott, was born 5 Dec 1842, in Jackson County, Florida, and died 24 Jan 1912. He enlisted in Company D, 6th Florida Infantry on 17 March 1862. On 19 Apr 1862 he transferred to Company F, same regiment. He spent some time in the Marianna, Florida Confederate Hospital in 1863. He rejoined his company and was later captured near Nashville, Tennessee, on 16 Dec 1864. He was sent to Camp Douglas, Illinois where he remained until the war was over. For some reason he enlisted in the 6th United States Infantry on 5 May 1865. He applied for and was rewarded a pension for his Confederate service. Samuel Tharpe enlisted in Company C, 8th Florida Regiment on 13 May 1862. He was shot threw the jaw and 2nd Manassas on 30 Aug 1862. Romulus Wardlaw (as listed in records) enlisted as a private in Company G, 64th Georgia Infantry Regiment on 5 Apr 1863. He transferred to Co.  H, and was wounded in 1864 .  Admitted to Ocmulgee Hospital at Macon, Georgia, wounded 24 Jun 1864 . Romulus was then transferred to District Hospital.  The roll for Oct 1864 , last on file, shows he was at home, wounded.  He died in Jackson County, Florida,   29 Jan 1915.
