James (Jim) Cloud was born in South Carolina in 1809 and died in Florida in Nov 1878. He is buried at Owens - Belleview Cemetery in an unmarked grave. William A. Hill was born in Florida on 19 Oct 1849, and he died 5 Mar 1920. He was mustered into Captain Chamber's Company (Gulf Coast Rangers), Florida Volunteers on 24 May 1862, as 3rd Sergeant. The date of 5 Apr 1862, is also listed as an enlisted date. This company became Company A, 9th Florida Infantry. He is listed as being in a Confederate Hospital at Richmond, Virginia, in July 1864. John Bolivar Owens was born 23 Aug 1837, in Georgia, and died on 5 Feb. 1900, in Jackson County, Florida. He married Mary Abernathy Kemp on 20 Jan 1857, in Jackson County, Florida. John enlisted as 2nd Lieutenant in Captain George Washington Robinson's Home Guard in the Spring of 1864 at Owens Pond. This company was discharged at the end of the war. Private Whitman David Owens
Company I, 5th Battalion Florida Cavalry

Whitman David Owens was born 21 Feb 1845, in Decatur County, Georgia, and he died 15 Aug 1919, in Jackson County, Florida. He enlisted in Company I, 5th Battalion Florida Cavalry on 20 Feb 1864, at Marianna, Florida. He was promoted to corporal before being surrendered on 22 May 1865.
