Henry C. Blount, son of Reddin Blount and Frances C. Martin, was born on 23 Feb 1845, in Holmes County, Florida. Fifteen year old Henry is found listed in his fathers household in the 1860 Walton County, Florida, census. Henry enlisted in Company K, 6th Alabama Cavalry Regiment in Coffee County, Alabama, on 3 Apr 1863. He was discharged at Milton, Florida, in Apr 1865. Henry married Ellafair L. Brannan in 1870. Jesse Jefferson Bradley was born 14 Mar 1838, in Randolph County, Georgia. Pension records show him enlisting in Company A & L of the 11th Florida Infantry Regiment on 12 Oct 1863. He surrendered at Appomattox, Virginia, and was discharged on 10 Apr 1865. Jesse married Betty Simmons on 25 Dec 1879, in Jackson County, Florida, and he died on 4 Mar 1923. Thomas Henry Cook enlisted in Company K, 9th Georgia Infantry on 11 Jun 1861, at Americas, Georgia. In Sep 1861 he was assigned extra duty as a nurse at the General Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. In early 1864 he was detailed to drive cattle for the Brigade. He was admitted to Jackson Hospital, Richmond, Virginia, 8 Nov 1864, with the "Itch". William Columbus "Lum" Dickson, son of William Washington Dickson and Annie Cherry, was born in Florida, in 1839 and he died before 1880. He is found in his father's household listed as Columbus Dickson in the 1860 Jackson County, census. He enlisted as a corporal in Captain Robinson's Company of Florida Partisan Rangers at Merritt's Bridge, Jackson County, Florida, on 11 Aug 1862. Lum was promoted thru the ranks reaching 3rd Sergeant on 1 Oct 1863. He was dropped from the rolls on 1 Jan 1864. William M. Columbus Dickson was buried in the Russ Cemetery, which was flooded by Lake Seminole. His grave along with all his father's family was moved to Shady Grove Cemetery in 1953. Eleazar Johnson, son of Alford Johnson and Annis McGlamry Johnson, was born 11 Jul 1836, in Macon County, Georgia. The family came to Florida before 1850 and settled near Campbellton. He married Henrietta Plair in Oct 1857. He 1st enlisted on 10 May 1861, in Jackson County, Florida. He was discharged 28 Dec 1861. He re-enlisted on 8 Sep 1862, in Company E, 6th Florida Infantry and was medically discharged 20 Mar 1863, at Mossey Creek, Tennessee. He re-enlisted again 12 Oct 1863, in Company L, 11th Florida Infantry. He was in the Battle of Cold Harbor, Petersburg and Saylers Creek during Lee's retreat to Appomattox, Virginia. He was captured on 6 Jun 1865 at Farmville, Virginia, and taken prisoner to Point Lookout, Maryland, where he was held until 28 Jun 1865. He was released on oath on that date. He was 5' 10" tall, with a light complexion, gray eyes and light hair. His occupation was a farmer. He died 17 Sep 1870, just 5 years after the war. |

Isaac King, son of Isaac and Elizabeth King, was born in Florida on 19 May 1836. He enlisted in Captain Smith's Marianna Dragoons on 14 Mar 1862. This company became Company B, 15th Confederate Cavalry. In Sep 1864 Isaac was on detached duty in Marianna, Florida, when the Marianna Raid occurred. He escaped across the Chipola River and was later wounded when he encountered a Union guard. Isaac survived the war and married Elizabeth Fulgham in Jackson County on 28 Jun 1894. William Riley McClellan, son of John Hiram McClellan and Eliza Alexander, was born in Irwin County, Georgia, on 15 Jan 1844. He died on 24 Dec 1939, and was buried at Shady Grove Cemetery, Grand Ridge, Florida. He enlisted in the Captain David Henderson's Company, 10th Georgia Battalion, on 4 Mar 1862. He was eighteen years of age at the time of his enlistment. On 14 Mar 1862, he was mustered into Company B, 10th Battalion Georgia Infantry. He was appointed 4th Corporal on 21 Jul 1863 and by Nov 1863 he was 3rd Corporal. On 1 Jul 1864, he was promoted to 1st Corporal. He was surrendered and paroled at Appomattox Court House, Virginia, 9 Apr 1865. William married Josephine Folsom in 1869. He died 24 Dec 1939, in Jackson County, Florida. Daniel H. Player enlisted in Company F, 6th Florida Infantry Regiment on 10 Mar 1862, at Apalachicola, Florida. He spent several months in Confederate Army hospitals. He was captured near Vicksburg, Mississippi, in 1863 and later exchanged. Daniel was listed as "absent without leave", but returned to his company and was discharged at Bentonville, North Carolina, on 26 Apr 1865. Phillip Augusta Simpson was born in Jackson County, Florida, on 3 May 1840. He enlisted as a private in Company E, 6th Florida Infantry Regiment, on 7 May 1862, at Marianna, Florida. This was Captain Henry O. Bassett's Company which was a part of the Army of Tennessee. He fought at Chickamauga, Georgia, in 1864. Phillip was wounded in the chest and left arm and was wounded again when a falling limb hit him in the head on 24 Dec 1864. He was surrendered 11 May 1865, at Quincy, Florida.
