Why does your group take photographs and GPS readings of Confederate Graves? Cindy P. - Savannah, GA

As many as six known cemeteries have been lost in Jackson County. We are taking GPS readings and photos to prove these graves are here. Florida has many statues, which cover destruction of cemeteries and graves, but these laws are not enforced, as they should be. Adjutant Larry Clere is going to publish a book, which will include a photo and GPS reading of every Confederate Veteran in Jackson County. At the end of the project, a Confederate Graves Registration Form will be sent to SCV National Headquarters on every Confederate Veteran in Jackson County, Florida.
