Broken Graves Photo Show
This photo show presents an overview of the work done at Riverside Cemetery
during the year 2007. The Graves & Tombs Restoration Committee repaired and set
over ten headstones at this one cemetery during this last year. At the
beginning of the project, five Confederate graves were missing. The grave
site of James H. Brett was located and his stone was replaced. Efforts are
still underway to locate the other four missing graves. A memorial stone was
placed on September 22, 2007 to honor all Confederate Veterans buried at
Riverside Cemetery, and to those who died defending Marianna on September
27, 1864.
