Cemetery Committee Projects 2008 - Headstone Repair

The following are pictures of headstones repaired on our monthly workday projects for 2008.

January
Riverside Cemetery

James H. Brett, a member of "Norwood's Cradle to Grave Volunteers" died defending Marianna on September 27, 1864. He was the original 1st Lieutenant of the defunct "Jackson Guards" home guard unit. Lieutenant Brett was fifty-two years old at the time of his death. Note: Not only was this headstone repaired, but the grave site had to be located.
March Sims Cemetery

April - July
A total of 24 cemeteries have had the GPS readings completed and all headstones which are missing or need of repair have been identified.
