Jesse Jefferson Bradley was born March 14, 1838 in Randolph County, Georgia. Pension records show him enlisting in Company A & L of the 11th Florida Infantry Regiment on October 12, 1863. He surrendered at Appomattox, Virginia, and was discharged on April 10, 1865. Jesse married Betty Simmons on December 25, 1879, in Jackson County, Florida. Jesse died on March 4, 1923. W. B. Bryant enlisted as a 2nd Corporal in Company L, 2nd Florida Infantry. He is listed as surrendering at Appomattox Court House on 9 Apr 1865. BACK TO SHADY GROVE CEMETERY PAGE William Columbus "Lum" Dickson, son of William Washington Dickson and Annie Cherry, was born in Florida, in 1839 and he died before 1880. He is found in his father's household listed as Columbus Dickson in the 1860 Jackson County, census. He enlisted as a corporal in Captain Robinson's Company of Florida Partisan Rangers at Merritt's Bridge, Jackson County, Florida, on 11 Aug 1862. Lum was promoted thru the ranks reaching 3rd Sergeant on 1 Oct 1863. He was dropped from the rolls on 1 Jan 1864. William M. Columbus Dickson was buried in the Russ Cemetery, which was flooded by Lake Seminole. His grave along with all his father's family was moved to Shady Grove Cemetery in 1953. William Dee Benjamin Dudley was born on 29 Dec 1820, in Jones County, Georgia, and he died IN 1912. He enlisted in Company I, 4th Florida Infantry on at Marianna, Florida, on 25 Sep 1861. He was born in 10 Mar 1837, in Baker County, Georgia, and died 17 Apr 1917, in Jackson County, Florida [dates from pension application]. John enlisted on 8 Sep 1862 in Company E, 5th Battalion Florida Cavalry. Richard Franklin Edenfield was born 18 Jun 1836, in Gadsden County, Florida, and died 29 Feb 1908, in Jackson County, Florida. He enlisted 8 sep 1862 in Captain Milton's Independent Cavalry Company. Benjamin Franklin Grantham, son of Nathan Grantham and Susannah Strickland, was born July 7, 1823 in Dooly County, Georgia. Private Jefferson Griffin
Jefferson Griffin was born 24 Dec 1830, in Warren County,
Georgia. He enlisted as a private in Captain H. O Bassett’s Company of the 6th
Florida Infantry. He was wounded twice and captured at Murfreesboro,
Tennessee. He was released from Camp Chase, Ohio on 13 June 1865. Jefferson
married Elizabeth (Lizzie) McDaniel on 10 Apr 1854. Jefferson griffin died

Private Isaac King
Isaac King, son of Isaac and Elizabeth King, was born in
Florida on 19 May 1836. He enlisted in Captain Smith's Marianna Dragoons on
14 Mar 1862. This company became Company B, 15th Confederate Cavalry. In
September 1864, Isaac was on detached duty in Marianna when the Marianna
Raid occurred. During the fighting he was cut off from escape across the
Chipola River and was later wounded when he encountered a Union guard. Isaac
survived the war and married Elizabeth Fulgham in Jackson County on 28 Jun

Private David James Mears James Mears, son of Levin Mears, was born
in North Carolina, on 17 Aug 1819. He died in Jackson County, Florida, on 1
Mar 1888. David enlisted in Company E, 6th Florida Infantry Regiment on 14
Apr 1862, at Mt. Vernon, Florida. David married Mary Ann Davis on 17 Dec
1848, in Jackson County, Florida. He married a second time to Mary Jane Cook

Corporal William Riley
McClellan
William Riley McClellan, son of John Hiram McClellan and Eliza Alexander,
was born in Irwin County, Georgia on 15 Jan 1844. He died on 24 Dec 1939 and
was buried at Shady Grove Cemetery, Grand Ridge, Florida. He enlisted in the
Captain David Henderson's Company, 10th Georgia Battalion, on 4 Mar
1862. He was eighteen years of age at the time of his enlistment. On 14 Mar
1862, he was mustered into Company B, 10th Battalion Georgia Infantry. He
was appointed 4th Corporal on 21 Jul 1863, and by Nov 1863, he was 3rd
Corporal. On 1 Jul 1864 he was promoted to 1st Corporal. He was
surrendered and paroled at Appomattox Court House, Virginia, 9 Apr 1865.
William married Josephine Folsom in 1869. He died 24 Dec 1939, in Jackson

John M. Traylor was born February 15,
1846, and died June 9, 1920.
